If you attempt to apply for Medicare more than three months before you turn 65 it will tell you you’re ineligible. It doesn’t specify that you’re applying too soon so don’t panic. If it says you’re in eligible you are eligible. You just need to wait to apply until you were three months or less from the first day of the month that you turn 65.
