Things get pushed into the sand by traffic or get washed into or out of the sand by moving water. There are rare exceptions like swamps or "quicksand" which follow the theory of a body floating on water etc.
Trying to dig a hole in that is like trying to dig a ditch through quicksand. So my dad, who is an extraordinarily brilliant guy, came up with the idea of circling the Arabia using irrigation wells. Irrigation wells have pumps clear to bedrock, sixty-five feet down, and you can push water a great distance.
The Quicksand Concentrator works well for getting to a super concetrate. You can chase every speck and waste time. We run black sand concentrates by the bucket thru the unit. This gives us the heaviest of the material to process further. We run a 5 gal bucket of black sand and end up with half a pan of material.
Then it began oozing in faster. Soon they were knee deep in sticky quicksand and silt. One of the whisky dealers offered them $75,000 for their find. The panting, arm--weary Holt Syndicate members turned down the offer. A half million dollars was within grasp. They took a hurried inventory to see how much they’d already spent. It added up to ...
I went to the area of the wrecksite maybe 25 years ago. The surf could be heard from at least a mile away. The sand was like quicksand. An adjacent home on the northside of the site was allegedly funded by certain 'finds' in that area. Don in SoCal

I take it that on the north side of the Mansfield Cut the authorities are relentless since that's the known locations of the Santa María de Yciar, Espiritu Santo, and San Esteban, from south to north, each about 3 miles apart.
I know the material you guys are working (hard mineralized clay clods) so if I was setting up a recirculating system that needed to be portable yet as efficient as possible, I would consider building it around the Quicksand Concentrator fluid bed device (gotnuggets.com) Its 12 volt and uses a low amp pump, the fluid bed jets help break up the ...
That riverbed is bad besides having quicksand from what I'm told. Now you take all the mills for Tombstone and they're on the Tombstone side of the river along with the tracks.
